The UNCP wrestling team welcomed a newcomer to the program. Redshirt junior Rodney Shepard transferred in from the Division I institution North Carolina State University, which is about two hours away in Raleigh, N.C. Braves Baseball Go 2-1in Series Over Pacers
Braves baseball put together strong performances en route to a 2-1 record during their three-game home-stand against USC Aiken. The pacers entered the three-day series against the Braves started on March 29 at Sammy Cox Field ranked 15th in the nation. The Braves Buddies initiative was created and launched in the fall of 2015, when the former Senior Woman Administrator was responsible for the coordination of all the university’s athletic teams. PAC Showcases Talent, Engages Audience During 25th Annual Talent Show
The Pembroke Activities Council hosted its 25th annual Talent Showcase on March 22. Over 500 students and staff attended. UNCP senior Joshua Oxendine claimed the $250 firstplace prize with his performance of “Titanium” by David Guetta. Other winners included second place contestants India Johnson and Deja Weaver, who won $125, and third place performer Mia Baxley, who took home $75.
