Bonfire Kicks Off Homecoming Weekend
Homecoming week was lit up as the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership, along with SGA and the Athletics department, hosted UNCP’s bonfire in the Jones parking lot on Oct. 26. ‘King of Pop’ Found Alive and Well at UNCP
Eight years after his passing, the King of Pop has returned--sort of. On Oct. 27, students and surrounding residents piled into GPAC to witness “Who’s Bad: A Michael Jackson Experience.” The concert, which started at 8 p.m., featured hits from the pop icon like “Jam,” “Thriller” and “Black and White.” Music played as people arrived. Join the Glow Run, Race to Homecoming
The Department of Health and Human Performance is putting on a Glow Run on Oct. 27. The Glow Run will include two races, the 8th annual “Leave it to Beaver 5K” and a one-mile fun run/walk. Both races will begin and end at Grace P. Johnson Stadium and will wind through UNCP’s campus.
