The Friends of the Library hosted their version of a comic-con in the Mary Livermore Library. Dr. Robert Canida, the director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, said the Friends of the Library’s program committee wanted to promote their vision of the event and to provide inclusion. New Breakfast Items in Cafe 641 for the Spring Semester
UNCP's new eatery on campus is helping students stay refreshed while studying. Café 641 opened in the Mary Livermore Library last semester. The variety of options on the menu have caught students’ attention and the new hours have made it easier to visit in between classes. Computers Upgrade Within the University Center and Livermore Library
Recently, new computers have been placed in the James B. Chavis University Center on campus at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. UNCP's School of Education celebrated the reopening of the Teacher Resource Library on Jan. 31. The Teacher Resource Library was once located in the Mary Livermore Library, but has now moved to the School of Education room 137. Halloween Recap: Livermore Library Gets Spooky
Pembroke Activities Council (PAC) hosted a Halloween event in Mary Livermore Library on Oct. 29 from 7-9 p.m. Students crafted pumpkins and skulls on the bottom floor and enjoyed the experience of an escape room on the top floor. PAC also provided candy to satisfy students’ sweet tooth craving. Library Renovations to Conclude Soon
As the Fall 2018 semester begins, students are anticipating the completion of renovations that have been taking place at Mary Livermore Library since the commencement in May.
Dean of Library Services, Dennis Swanson, says the ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to commemorate the completion of renovations will be set for sometime in late September or early October.
