Soccer Remains Undefeated at Home
The UNCP men’s soccer team kept their perfect home record alive on Sept. 21, beating Clayton State in a close match-up. The PBC opener at Varsity Grounds almost slipped away from the Braves in the final eight minutes of play, but a last minute penalty kick gave the Braves the victory with a 3-2 win. Soccer Pushes Past Barton in Late Home Rally
Sophomore Jordan Walshaw registered his second and third goals of the season, and the UNCP men’s soccer team held strong through a late rally by the visiting Barton Bulldogs to earn a 2-1 victory Sept. 14 at Varsity Grounds. It was the 18th consecutive victory against Barton for the Black and Gold (2-2-0), who remained undefeated at home. Barton (2-3-0) last topped the Braves in 1998. Soccer Coaches Find New Opportunities

Head coach Phil Hindson announced that he would be leaving the team to take an assistant coaching job with the men’s soccer team at Winthrop University. A
