Richard Burr Named as Spring 2018 Commencement Speaker
Senator Richard Burr is set to speak at commencement for the graduating class of Spring 2018. According to the Charlotte Observer, the National Rifle Association and similar groups have “spent nearly $7 million on behalf of Burr.” About $5.6 million is also included as NRA groups aided Burr in his 2016 election against democratic opponent Deborah Ross.
