What expectations do you have for yourself and the team this season?
“I have high expectations for the team and myself this season. I think that we will be very successful and this will be our best season that UNCP softball has had in a long time. We worked extremely hard in the fall and now it is time for us to show out. As for myself, my goals this season are to be a better leader and a better hitter.”
How did you hear about UNCP?
“When I was originally looking for schools I looked for schools with Athletic Training programs and I came across UNCP. Funny thing about it is that I recently changed my major to mass communications.”
What are some of your favorite memories in your athletic career?
“My favorite memory of my athletic career so far would probably be when we played Lander and we hit three homeruns back to back to back. It was insane. After the first two homeruns were hit I came up and I was so nervous just trying to get a single and I ended up hitting the third homerun in a row.”
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not on the field?
“My favorite thing to do when I’m not on the field is play with my dog Boots.”
Who is your role model as an athlete?
“My role model as an athlete is actually a former teammate, Brea Hartley. When I came in as a freshman she is the person I looked up to and who always had my back on and off the field. She is the hardest worker I know and she really taught me about fighting for what you want. I’m lucky enough to have her as a coach as well now.”
Where is your favorite place to eat in Pembroke?
“My favorite place to eat in Pembroke would definitely have to be Jersey Mikes.”
If you didn't play softball what other sport would you participate in?
“If I didn’t play softball I would want to play Volleyball. I think it is so cool when they spike it and the energy is always so high during games.”
What is your favorite college team?
“I don’t have a favorite college team but since I’m from Las Vegas I guess I should be a UNLV fan.”
