The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Public Relations Student Society of America will be hosting their 9th annual charity Golf Tournament on April 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Pine Crest Country Club in Lumberton, N.C. The tournament format is Captain’s Choice.
“The format means that anyone at any skill level can participate and have fun,” PRSSA President Adam Peele said. Prizes for the tournament will be provided to the top three teams. Registration fees are $200 for a four-person team, $50 for individual players, and $30 for students.
Registration includes green fee, cart fee, gift bag, dinner and refreshments. The last day for player registration will be April 1. Registration will begin at 12 p.m. and Tee Time is at 1:30 p.m.
“We hope faculty, staff, and students will join us for a fun time and good fellowship,” Peele said. Proceeds from the tournament will be used to help students attend regional and national educational conferences.
PRSSA is an organization for students interested in public relations, business, and communications. The organization advocates rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles, and diversity in the profession.
The UNCP chapter meets in Old Main Room 237 on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Funding for the organization is made up of membership dues and tournament proceeds.
