High Rainfall Is Projected to Cause Vehicle Flooding on Campus

This morning, Campus Police and Public Safety issued an email alerting students to move their cars to higher ground. 


Due to the impending projected amounts of high rainfall in the area over the next few days, Campus Police and Public Safety is urging students to be aware and to move their vehicles to higher ground in preparation of flooding.


Additionally, a map detailing possible flood areas on campus was dispersed to students by email this morning.

Below is the map of flood locations on campus, broken down by zone locations and directions detailing exactly where students are at the highest risk of vehicle flooding.

The following flood zones can be broken down to these locations: Flood Zone A is the entrance by the bookstore and Oak Hall, Flood Zone B is the "T" intersection of Faculty Row by Oak Hall, the bookstore and the business building, Flood Zone C is University Drive by the tennis courts down between Lumbee Hall and the gymnasium, Flood Zone D is the area at the "T" intersection by D.F. Lowry and Jacob's Hall that faces the business building and Flood Zone E is on Alumni Lane by Jacob's Hall.
